Aim of the Paper

Assist in developing LFVDA DMA strategy

Present argument for presentation to potential
funding bodies (e.g. LDA/GoL) for the needs of DMA.

Raise awareness of LFVDA's support for development
of Digital Media Arts.
Objectives of the Paper

Provide a general overview of the context
in which Digital Media Arts activity is developing and operating within
London.

Define the different areas of DMA practice
and their relevance to the remit of LFVDA.

Update and reflect on existing papers commissioned
by arts funding bodies looking at the London Context.

Identify the needs of DMA practitioners in
London.
-
Identify existing sources of funding available
to London-based practitioners or projects
-
Evaluate the impact of different funding models
(loans, public/private mix, ERDF etc) on DMA practitioners, with
specific reference to London.

Identify gaps in public funding available.
-
Make recommendations.
